The Osprey-1000 product was end of lifed in September 2002. The last supported OS for this card was NT. We do have beta Win2K drivers available on our website, but we do not have any plans to offer a fully supported release driver version for Win2K or XP. We have worked with several customers who have succesfully gotten these drivers to work under Win2k or XP, but unfortunately we are unable to provide support for this driver. The Osprey-1000 was initially designed for video conferencing uses and implements in hardware the H261/H263 video encoding algorithms as well as a few audio conferencing encoding algs (G728/G723). We did implement a version of RealNetworks encoder in hardware on the o1000 but this is very old and we would not recommend it today. While the o1000 also provides some capture capabilities they are not equal to that of any other Osprey product (o100/200/210/220/500/540/2000).

Our current Osprey products O100/200/210/220/500/540/2000 all fully support 2000 and XP, which are the recommended products for Real time streaming or capture.

Hi,

I have installed osprey 1000 driver on windows 2000 / sp3. I used the latest version of the drivers that are available on www.viewcast.com. I got initialization error messages and osprey cards not found message. Any idea about fixing this problem is appreciated
