Maybe your VCR has Macrovision enabled on the Composite/S-Video channels?

IF I use a DVD player as the input source on the Osprey 100 the card displays the image perfectly (using VidCap or Real Producer). If I change and put another source like the VCR or the video out from the Directv receiver, the image is snowy. Any ideas why? BTW, the image looks perfect on the TV.
