David T. Stoner - President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Stoner joined ViewCast as Vice President of Operations in August 1996, moved to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer in October 2005, and began serving as President and Chief Executive Officer in 2008. He brings to ViewCast more than 21 years of engineering and operations management of technology companies engaged in video and imaging technology and hardware and software development.
From August 1994 to August 1996, Mr. Stoner was Vice President of Engineering for the Connectworks Division of Connectware, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of AMP Inc. From July 1986 to August 1994, Mr. Stoner was employed by Visual Information Technologies, Inc. (“VITec”), a manufacturer of video, imaging, and graphics products, which was purchased by Connectware, Inc. At VITec, Mr. Stoner was responsible for the development of hardware and software products, and served in various positions including Vice President of Engineering. From January 1979 to July 1986, Mr. Stoner served in various engineering positions at Texas Instruments, Inc.
Mr. Stoner received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas.
Laurie Latham - Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President Finance & Administration
Ms. Latham has served as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration of ViewCast since December 1999. She has more than 20 years of related experience with technology companies engaged in development of new media for the Internet and interactive communications, including financial management, capital and M&A transactions, strategy development and investor relations. Other prior roles include public accounting, auditing, SEC compliance and business consulting.
From 1997 until she joined ViewCast, Ms. Latham served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Perivox Corporation, an interactive communications and direct marketing company developing applications for advanced voice response technologies. From 1994 through 1997, she was the Vice President of Finance and Administration at Axis Media Corporation, which applied emerging digital and HD technologies to graphics, photography and media asset archiving for clients. Prior to joining Axis Media Corporation, she served as the Vice President of Finance and Administration for Medialink International Corporation, a food industry communication technology company located in California. In addition, her earlier career experience includes public practice with national and regional accounting firms, including KPMG Peat Marwick, and management roles within the oil and gas, real estate and agricultural industries.
Ms. Latham received her B.B.A. from the University of Texas and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mark Hershey - Vice President of Engineering
Mr. Hershey joined the Company as Vice President of Engineering in 2001. Mr. Hershey has over 30 years of engineering management, product development and marketing in the telecommunications and Internet video industries.
Mr. Hershey’s initial experience was at Collins Radio Company (now Rockwell-Collins) developing automated call center applications. His experiences there included development and project management of the first all-electronic tandem switching units outside of the Bell System for MCI in Chicago and New York. He later managed application engineering teams at Intecom, developers of the Intecom IBX, the world’s first combined voice/data/video switching system. Later work at Intecom included managing the Call Center and System O/S software development teams, which produced the first distributed call center product and the then-largest networked call center in the world (for Microsoft) with over 8000 online agents. Other experience includes technical and plant management at VMX, Inc, inventors and developers of the first voice messaging systems (now merged into AT&T).
Mr. Hershey received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Oklahoma State University.
Jeff Kopang - Vice President of Marketing
Mr. Kopang joined ViewCast as vice president of marketing in June 2008. Mr. Kopang has more than twenty years of related global marketing, brand and media experience in the telecommunications and broadcast industries.
Before joining ViewCast, he served in senior marketing management at Fujitsu, a Tokyo-headquartered global provider of IT and communications solutions. At Fujitsu, he was instrumental in developing and directing the communications strategy and marketing programs for Fujitsu’s entry into packet optical networking. In addition to brand, advertising and e-media activities, Mr. Kopang also successfully directed programs to support Fujitsu’s WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access), MSO (Multiservice Operator) and RBOC (Regional Bell Operating Company) initiatives. Prior to Fujitsu, Mr. Kopang was vice president of marketing and business development for Global Audio Visual, a national media and events staging company based in Dallas. His other past positions include management of tactical aircraft visualization programs for Lockheed Martin, and television and radio production experience in the Boston media market.
Mr. Kopang is a graduate California State University, and has twice been awarded the Emmy® from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
