DS photo is an intuitive application designed to enhance your photo management experience. It aims to make organizing, backing up, and sharing your images easy and convenient. Whether you are using it on your phone or tablet, DS photo integrates seamlessly with your Synology NAS (Network Attached Storage) to ensure your photos are stored safely.
DS photo allows you to automatically back up your pictures from your mobile devices to your Synology NAS. This ensures that your precious memories are safe and accessible anywhere. You can set it to upload photos only over Wi-Fi to save on mobile data, making it an efficient tool for everyone.
The app offers various views for browsing your photos, such as timeline view, which makes it easier to navigate through your image collection. With DS photo, you can sort your images by date or folder name to suit your preferences.
DS photo makes sharing easy by allowing you to create public or private links to your photos. Whether you wish to share with family, friends, or colleagues, the app offers a secure way to distribute your images directly from your NAS.
From slide shows with different background music to rotating pictures, DS photo provides several customization options. These features make viewing and sharing your photos a more personalized experience.
When you first use DS photo, it’s essential to log in correctly. You need to make sure you’re using the proper account credentials to access all your photos and albums. If you encounter any login issues, try using the Quick Connect ID or the IP address associated with your NAS for accurate login.
Once logged in, you can start uploading your photos. To manage settings:
You can easily browse through your photos using the timeline or other available views. If you prefer a specific sorting method, such as by date or folder name, adjust the settings accordingly for a better browsing experience.
If you face issues logging in, double-check your account credentials. Ensure you're not logging in as a guest to prevent access restrictions.
To avoid confusion when sorting through folders and images, DS photo lets you set your preferred sorting options. Customize these settings to sort folders by name if that fits your workflow better.
If you experience connectivity issues, make sure your DSM software is up-to-date. Restarting the app can also help restore connections.
To ensure photos are backed up over Wi-Fi only, go to your backup settings within the DS photo app and check the box that restricts backups to Wi-Fi connections. This ensures that your mobile data is not used for large photo uploads.
If you can’t see all your photos, ensure you’re logged in with the correct account and not as a guest. Logging in appropriately grants you the necessary permissions to view all your photos and albums.
To customize slide shows, open the slide show settings within DS photo. Here, you can add different background music and adjust other settings to personalize your experience.
While DS photo allows for easy sharing, it currently does not support downloading pictures directly onto your mobile device. This feature could be added in future updates.
