No picture - just a blue screen from Osprey 100?

1) There are 3 composite inputs and one S-video

2) I tried all 3 composite ports, with various settings in xawtv, then I decided to go for the s-video which seemed to work just fine...

4) Are the osprey-2xx drivers compatible with the osprey-100?

Another thing I noticed once I got the system up and running is that video grabbing at CIF/SIF resolutions work fine, but when going for 4SIF/VGA the system really clogs up and stops working well (think 1fpM)... the cpu load is not a factor (it's around 0.1 on a dual amd system)

When no video is detected on the selected port on the Osprey-100 the result is a capture of a 'blue' frame. This is true no matter what OS (Linux/Solaris/Windows). Questions:

1) what types of inputs do you have on the o100? There have been variants of the o1xx over the years, some with 2 composite and 1 svideo, some with 3 composite and 1 svideo and one version with 1 composite and 1 svideo.

2) What input are you using and if composite, where is it located in relation to the svideo input? For example is it next to it, 1 composite connector away, etc.

3) If composite have you tried moving your input to a different composite location? The mapping of inputs to physical connectors has changed over the years. So it is very likely that composite 1 on windows != composite 1 on Linux.

4) Today is 5/31/2002. We should be posting our open-source beta osprey-2xx Linux drivers today. Half of this driver is the video driver. If all else fails we could have you try this source video driver.

Running Linux RH7.3. Preinstalled with the latest bttv drivers and xawtv, no matter which input I select I get only a blue screen from the Osprey100 card. What does this mean? The same card seems to work fine in Windows. Do I need to do some manual tweaking of drivers to get it to work on Linux?
