Linux drivers?

The o540 linux drivers do not work with the o500. While we had started o500 Linux work this has been paused waiting on feedback from the field. So there is no release date set for o500 Linux support. But your interest is part of the feedback that helps push this along.

Hi, I see you are looking for Beta testers for the Osprey 540 card linux drivers now. Will these work with the Osprey 500 DV card? Or are you planning to release Linux drivers "real soon"?

Thanks in advance,

Yeah, I was hoping for v4l drivers for the Osprey500DV as we have two of these at the moment and would like to use them with MPEG4IP for live streaming...

Are you looking for Linux drivers for a specific Osprey card? The Osprey-100 has open source drivers. The Osprey-200/210/220 Linux drivers are going through internal QA now and will be made available soon. We're also considering the Osprey-5x0 family for Linux support next.

While I'm at it, we are also wondering why there are noe Linux drivers for this card. Will it be released? If not, would you be willing to release complete specs so we could write our own driver?
