I don't have ME in front of me so I can't give you step by step instructions at the moment - but most MS os's, in the control panel, have an icon for multimedia or for sound. Within this control is a tab that lets you select the preferred audio for recording and playback. There's also usually a checkbox that says something like "use preferred devices only". So also check there.

Reply to: What application are you trying to use to capture audio?

I'm Using the VidCap program to capture both Video and Sound. I also have Adobe Premiere 6.0 installed but haven't tried the program yet. Just getting the basics down on the VidCap. In The Device Manager Tab in System Properties I found that I have the Creative Sound Blaster Audio PCI 128 (WDM) Sound, Video Game Controller drivers installed along with the Osprey Audio/Video controller drivers. Should I only have one driver installed for sound and video?  Thanks in Advance, Bob

What application are you trying to use to capture audio? Some programs have been written only to use the "preferred audio recording device" and thus do not allow for selecting between various audio cards in the machine.

Hello,
I downloaded the recent update software from this site for my Osprey-200. I installed the drivers for both audio and video. I can get video but no audio, Funny thing is that when I went to the Help section in the software it reads:

To set the maximum recording level of the audio input

1 From the Audio Format dialog box, choose the Level button.
2 While observing the volume bar, adjust the audio source so the volume peaks at about 80% of the full range shown on the volume bar.
3 Choose OK.

Well I'm looking at the Audio Format dialog box and there is "No" Level Button located in the dialog box.

When I click Audio Format I get a pop-up window, In the Pop-up window title area reads "Sound Selection" below that is "Name" and a drop down menu with "Untitled" as the default.  Below Name is Format and a drop down menu with "PCM" for the selection, below Format is Attributes with Freq' drop down menu and finally I get the OK and Cancel Buttons at the very bottom.

I puchase this card through a friend Brand new with out the software. Reason why I downloaded the file from here. I do want to add that the Video side of the Card works like a Charm! 1000 times better than DAZZLE's cards! Thanks in Advance, Bob

I'm running Windows ME  with Pentium 4 /1.3 gig 128 Ram.
