Yeah, you do. Sadly I found the more specific one first and stopped looking. Perhaps a link from the ASUS specific one to the more generic one. Anyway I have a solution ordered and on its way

Cheers,

We do have an FAQ that provides this solution :

Q I am trying to capture video with my Osprey card and I am seeing glitches/artifacts in the captured video files. What could be causing this ?

We have found that certain motherboards that utilize the AMD-768 peripheral bus controller do not provide adequate bandwidth requirements to allow the Osprey cards to capture successfully (one motherboard reported to use the AMD-768 controller is the TYAN Tiger MPX (S2466N-4M). We do not have a resolution for this problem and strongly recommend using a motherboard with a different Peripheral bus controller. If you would like to use an AMD based board we would recommend utilizing the AMD760MP chipset platform, which utilizes the AMD-766 peripheral bus controller.

Scott,
Was several weeks ago, sadly, since it was through the browser mail client rather than my normal email client I have no record of it on my machine, I guess its possible it never left the machine (I'll have a hunt through a relay maillogs if your interested).
Anyway. So any board with an MP chipset (rather than the newer MPX) should be ok? Should the FAQ say this rather than specificaly naming the ASUS board as being a problem?

Chris,

When did you send an e-mail to support ? We try to reply to all e-mails in timely manner and are unable to locate an e-mail that you submitted regarding this topic.  As far as the issue you are seeing you will need to utilize a motherboard that utilizes the AMD-760 MP chipset. This platform consists of an AMD-762 system controller and an AMD-766 peripheral bus controller, which should not exhibit the same symptoms

Can someone recommend a dual AMD motherboard to go with an Osprey220?

We have an ASUS a7m266D, which has the problems noted in the FAQ. The FAQ says its associated with chipset, but doesnt say whether all motherboards with this chipset suffer the same problem (and I got no response from an email to the support line).
