What application are you using to capture/record? Some applications only use the preferred audio record device (control panel -> sounds and multimedia -> audio tab). Vidcap32 is like this for example.
What sample rate are you trying to record?

I have ASUS P4s8x with 2.4gig P4 , 516K of ram memory, gForce 3 vid card, and an Osprey 200. I am having trouble getting this set up to record audio from an VHS player. The Picture is good, but no sound. Any suggestions???!!!!
