I've solved the problem myself!  Windows Messenger 4.6 uses WDM drivers while Netmeeting uses VFW drivers.  I downloaded universal drivers for the bt878 chipset, and they work fine.  The only problem is that a ? mark remains in device manager for the old drivers.  It would be nice if you guys tweaked these drivers for the osprey 100.

I have exactly the same problem.  Maybe it is because I am using windows messenger 4.6, which has problems with other applications? I would appreciate some help with this problem.  I am running XP pro and I have intel indeo 5 loaded.

We have not experienced this issue, but I will look into it and report back to the forum.

Thanks,

Scott

I have an Osprey 100 running fine in an XP installation. VidCap32 can manage the device, Movie Maker can record with it and also Netmeeting can select it correctly.

When I start Windows Messenger Audio and Video Tuning Wizard I cannot select the camera. It shows an empty line that, when selected, gives a Camera Error telling: "The camera you selected is not working properly, or may be in use by another program. Please click Back to try again, or to select a different camera."

I have also an Osprey 220 installed in the same machine. In this wizard is called " (2)" and, when selected, runs fine allowing Messenger start video conversations as spected.

Other analog capture devices can work as well in this machine.

Thank you.
