Q. I am getting a message: "VidCap32 can't find capture card error." What does this mean?
If VidCap32 can't find the capture card, it could indicate an IRQ conflict. This is easy to fix if your system BIOS allows you to assign specific IRQs to specific PCI
slots. If so, boot your computer without the Osprey board in the system
and check the IRQ settings. Take down Windows and, in the BIOS, try to
force the assignment of the IRQs to the PCI devices that are already using them.
Then assign a new (and hopefully unique) IRQ to the slot the Osprey-100
will use. Replace the Osprey-100 and reboot.
If your system does not allow you to assign IRQs,
this issue can be difficult to resolve. Please use our technical support request form to get help.
In rare instances, this may also indicate a problem with the
Osprey-100 board (one clue that this is the case may be that the board was working
properly and is now failing, and that nothing else within the system has changed). After
eliminating the possibility of an IRQ conflict, use our technical support request form or contact us by phone to determine if you need to replace the board.
