ViewCast Modifies Name to More Accurately Reflect Business

Updated corporate graphics to accompany change in name

ViewCast.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: VCST), a leading provider of Internet and networked video solutions, announced today that the company has filed a DBA to allow it to do business as ViewCast Corporation. The new name more accurately reflects the companys expanded business strategies. In addition, the company has updated its corporate logo to reflect the newly modified name.

During the past several months, we have been refining and redefining what we do, and the dot-com name simply doesnt fit our current business model, said ViewCast President and Chief Executive Officer George Platt. Certainly the Internet is an integral part of our business particularly for our streaming products, but ViewCast is not strictly an e-commerce venture. We provide video distribution products and services for deployment of media over all types of networks.

The ViewCast that exists today surpasses the ViewCast that was here when I was named president and chief executive officer a little more than a year ago, said Platt. We have built upon our foundation expertise and introduced new focused business initiatives. Todays ViewCast offers a diversity of products and services that take advantage of our superior technology and knowledge of the video networking and streaming media industries.

Like our business, our new corporate logo has been streamlined and given greater focus, to better reflect the ViewCast of 2001, said Brian Dean, ViewCast vice-president of marketing. The basic design remains, but its been given a cleaner, updated look. Over the coming days and weeks, this new design will permeate throughout the ViewCast corporate image and include a redesign of our ViewCast (http://www.viewcast.com) Web site.

"This card works flawlessly with Windows Media Encoder 7.  This card is built with streaming in mind, it has a built in de-interlacing filter, which works in real time to produce an exceptionally crisp image. This is a great card for live event streaming. Simply connect your video source, run Windows Media Encoder and send it off. I really like the Osprey 500. This is a solid card that performs well, and gives you a great deal of versatility in inputs."
