ViewCast Introduces Video Solutions Portal,
ViewCast Online (www.viewcastonline.com)
Web site delivers end-to-end streaming solutions with point-and-click ease for businesses.

ViewCast is very excited to introduced a new business concept - a video solutions portal that allows businesses to add streaming video to corporate Web sites with point-and-click ease. The portal, www.viewcastonline.com, offers a variety of new tools, packaged products and end-to-end support which enable even small-to-medium-size businesses to take advantage of the power of Internet video.

"Through our systems and subsystems, including our industry-leading Osprey Video capture cards, ViewCast has been providing businesses the tools they need to create and deliver streaming and networked video. Our new video solutions portal, ViewCast Online, leverages our expertise in streaming video and couples it with wide-ranging services and competitive pricing to bring the power of streaming video to any size business," said John Caulfield, president of ViewCast Online.

"ViewCast Online makes streaming video easy for companies that might not have the technical or financial resources to incorporate this effective and efficient communications medium as part of their Internet initiatives," Caulfield added.

Prior to ViewCast Online, putting video on the Internet involved numerous steps, technical and otherwise - video capture and encoding, setting up delivery servers, negotiating bandwidth with content deliver networks, configuring servers and complicated Web site coding, to name a few. ViewCast's video solutions portal automates these steps into one simple online process. With ViewCast Online, if a business has a Web site, Internet access and an e-mail address, it can take advantage of streaming video.

The company is currently offering two distinct packages at its video solutions portal:

EZStream(SM), which combines software and specially packaged services that enable businesses with content to capture, edit, encode, publish, host and deliver streaming video/rich media content on corporate Web sites.
The EZStream wizard interface is shown here.

StreamStory(SM), which enables a business to have its corporate message professionally produced and made available on its Web site in one easy, low-cost step.

Both services take advantage of ViewCast Online's high-performance content delivery network. ViewCast Online offers a variety of competitively priced hosting rate plans for streaming content. Managing accounts is equally simple. Business clients can change or renew hosting rate plans, change account profiles and set up or change e-mail notification flags for traffic and usage metrics information and alerts.

Further enhancements and offerings are planned for the future, Caulfield said.

ViewCast Online Delivers Small Business Streaming Solution with StreamStory(SM)
Online service allows small companies to easily add streaming video to communications mix.

ViewCast introduced a new service for thier customers called StreamStory. StreamStory is the first service of its kind that enables small businesses to easily and inexpensively add professionally produced streaming videos to their Web sites without the need for technical knowledge or even hardware. StreamStory is available online at the company's video solutions portal, www.viewcastonline.com.

"StreamStory is for businesses that have a message but don't have the content, creation skills, management ability or video delivery infrastructure to get it done," said John Caulfield, president of ViewCast Online. "StreamStory enables businesses to do this, all online at the ViewCast Online video solutions portal, with point-and-click ease."

"If you have Internet access and e-mail, you can add streaming video to your Web site."

The StreamStory online service provides a total turnkey solution for small businesses and organizations by creating, capturing, editing, encoding and publishing video content at price points that are attractive and practical for any small company.

"StreamStory is priced in such a way that streaming video is now an attractive and affordable alternative to other mainstream Web site graphical enhancements, such as Flash animation," said Caulfield.

Adding streaming video to a Web site is simple with StreamStory. Once a business completes a simple online registration process at viewcastonline.com, it sends its message in script form and chooses from a variety of male and female speakers to deliver the message. The video is professionally produced and a link is provided to the business to be pasted onto the company's Web site within 72 hours - and the company's new professionally produced video is published and online for immediate viewing.

The video is hosted on ViewCast's high-performance content delivery network, which eliminates the need for additional storage capacity on a business's server, ensuring that the company's Internet or Intranet performance is not compromised. The StreamStory online service also provides the business with granular statistical tracking of views with online reports that can be broken down within divisions or departments of any given business.

"In evaluating the needs of business, we felt it was imperative to provide sufficient flexibility within our database to meet the needs of not only the enterprise, but also individual departments within the enterprise," said Caulfield. "By providing this level of granularity, a marketing department could have its own way to use the ViewCast Online service, distinct from the human resources department, with separate content and billing packages for each."

"As broadband access continues its rapid and exponential increase, StreamStory delivers the power of streaming video communications to an underserved and growing market of small businesses with an Internet or e-commerce presence," Caulfield said.
