Announces New Authorized Reseller Program
New
Program Designed to Enhance Sales of ViewCast Boards, Systems,
and Services
DALLAS
(March 19, 2001) ViewCast Corporation (NASDAQ: VCST),
a leading provider of Internet and networked video solutions,
announced today a new reseller program designed to enhance
the companys ability to cover domestic and international
geographical territories and market segments in an efficient
and cost-effective manner.
This
new, multi-tiered program provides benefits and rewards
to our reseller partners for aggressively marketing ViewCast
products, said Harry Bruner, senior vice president
of Sales and Marketing. At the same time, the program
identifies the sales and marketing support that resellers
can expect from ViewCast. The company has a number of exciting
new products on the market, and now we have a reseller program
that reflects that excitement.
Through
this new authorized reseller program, we intend to expand
and enhance channels of distribution that will most effectively
place ViewCast products our Osprey
boards, ViewPoint
VBX and new Niagara
systems into the marketplace while providing
a fair return to both ViewCast and its resellers,
said Bruner.
ViewCast
supplies state-of-the-art, professional video products for
the streaming video industry and this new program ensures
that our authorized resellers reflect the same degree of
professionalism, efficiency and industry awareness and knowledge,
continued Bruner. Not only does this program help
our resellers market ViewCast products and services, it
ultimately benefits and satisfies the needs of our customers.
The
new program utilizes three classification levels
Silver, Gold and Platinum providing various degrees
of incentives and rewards for resellers dedication
to marketing ViewCast products. Rewards in each of the classifications
include varying percentages of discounts on ViewCast demonstration
systems, demonstration assistance, trade show support and
product literature. Gold and Platinum resellers are eligible
for co-op credits on the purchase of new and demo products
and additional rewards. In addition, Gold and Platinum resellers
are eligible for Web site listings/links from the ViewCast.com
Web site.
The
ViewCast reseller program includes provisions for volume
discounts pricing for its board resellers based on the resellers
annual agreement with ViewCast. This incentive allows board
resellers to access larger discounts through annual purchase
commitments.
In
return, the program provides resellers with sales and marketing
support from ViewCast in the form of field sales assistance,
sales training, technical training, demonstration personnel,
collateral information and CO-OP marketing opportunities.
Under
the terms of the new reseller program, an authorized reseller
of ViewCast products must meet certain qualifications regarding
its business, personnel, product and market knowledge, and
support and service capabilities.
