Online Announces First Strategic Marketing Partnership with
E-mail Marketing Company, InfoGenerator Systems, LLC
Adds
Audio and Video Capability to E-mail Marketing Campaigns
DALLAS
(Aug. 21, 2001) - ViewCast
Online, a division of ViewCast Corporation (NASDAQ:
VCST), the video communications leader, today introduced
it's first joint affiliate agreement with InfoGenerator
Systems, LLC. The partnership gives InfoGenerator's
10,000 autoresponder customers the ability to add audio
or audio/video content to their e-mail marketing campaigns.
In addition, Viewcast Online customers will be able to access
Infogenerator's autoresponder system, InfoGeneratorPRO,
as an e-marketing tool.
ViewCast
Online offers two new content delivery services for small
to medium-sized businesses. EZStreamSM
combines software and specially packaged services that enable
businesses with content to capture, edit, encode, publish,
host and deliver streaming video/rich media content on corporate
Web sites. StreamStorySM enables smaller businesses to have
their corporate message professionally produced and made
available on its Web site in one easy, low-cost step.
"E-mail
marketing is a major industry today. This initiative to
integrate both our solutions seamlessly into business applications
is fundamental to serving the enterprise market with rich
media," said John Caulfield, president of ViewCast
Online. "In today's tight economic climate combining
audio and video is affordable and an efficient medium. By
adding rich media content to e-mail, quickly and inexpensively,
we can provide today's e-marketers with a powerful tool
to substantially increase the return on investment of such
campaigns."
Market
research firm Paul Kagan and Associates recently reported
that adding rich media to e-mail marketing initiatives improved
response rates to as high as 30% versus 1% to 2% from direct
mail. Kagan further reported that rich media in advertising
increases click-through traffic to as high as 7% versus
1% to 2% from traditional banner advertising.
"Our
customers consistently have been asking for a simple, inexpensive
way to get audio and video content added to our products,"
said Jamie Hall, president of InfoGenerator Systems, LLC.
"Viewcast Online has the perfect ASP solution to enable
quick, seamless integration of a powerful, professional
message to be integrated into our platform."
