Hello,

is there a possibility to write a portable video app showing several live videos with overlaid graphics (animated)?
DirectShow API is not portable.
An OpenGL integration should be easy, too.
I have found a companion to OpenGL, the OpenML standard:

http://www.devmaster.net/news/index.php?storyid=584
http://www.khronos.org/openml/

OpenML needs a driver for the video card. I have not seen any on the driver page.

Are there other possibilities for developing portable video applications?

GStreamer?
NMM (http://www.networkmultimedia.org/)?

Windows and Linux should be supported at least.

Although the Osprey cards are high-quality, the solution should be hardware independent.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
