The error I recieve is

Encoder operation failed to Start.
CL_WMV_256F : StartTheFilterGraph()::pControl->Run() (MsgID: 6220) : StartTheFilterGraph()::pControl->Run() E_ACCESSDENIED. Error code is 0x80070005

Thats the same error I am getting. I am trying to save it to drive d as a
windows media file. Then transfer it to a usb drive. I know it can be done.
We were able to do it on several streams, but something changed. I
cannot figure out what I am doing wrong?

The message seems to imply that you are trying to access a share to which the currently logged-on user has insufficient rights - however this may not be the case in reality. Perhaps check to make sure that the disk is not full. Try factory restoring the unit, and if this doesn't fix it, contact Viewcast support - [email protected]

In the case of the USB device, I would strongly recommend against attmepting to encode straight a USB drive like that. These drives are not intended for real-time high-performance operations. Most USB drives would never be able to keep up with even the most modest of real-time encoding rates. Strongly recommend to use the internal disk and then copy to the thumb drive later.
