Have a question about inserting chapter points into a streaming WMV.  Is it possible to do this either live or to an existing file?  If so, how/what software is needed to do it?

If you are referring to 'markers' you can do it with an existing file by using the Windows Media File Editor bundled with the Windows Media Encoder.

Just open the file, set the insert point then click the marker button to add the description.

Yes, I am referring to marker files.  Forgive my DVD language.  Tried it out and it works.

Question for Viewcast though.  I am using the PowerStream Pro. Any problems with downloading Window media encoder to the system or should it reside on another system?

I guess you will be using Niagara SCX ver 4 or 5 then on the PowerStream Pro ?

I use Niagara SCX 3.x on a 'home brew' encoder and WM Encoder and Helix Producer are pre-requisites for Niagara SCX anyway.

If you look, you may therefore find it's already installed on the PowerStream Pro...

I am using ver 4.0.

I looked, did a search on the system for Windows Media Encoder but there wasn't any applications that were found.  There were a few files but those were associated with the SCX.
