I am using Windows Media encoder 7.1 with Osprey 230. It has been doing fine for months, however started today on multiple machines WME start quitting unexpectedly. I have not change/update/install any new software on those machines.

Most of the time it quit without any error but some has registered in the event log as follow.

Faulting application wmenc.exe, version 7.1.0.3055, faulting module declrds.ax, version 7.1.0.3055, fault address 0x0000705c.

And

Faulting application wmenc.exe, version 7.1.0.3055, faulting module declrds.ax, version 7.1.0.3055, fault address 0x000063b3.

I have try reinstalling the 2.2.2 driver and reinstall DirectX 9, but it is still doing the same thing. The Real producer 8 on those same machine works fine.

Anyone have an idea. Please help.

Just curious how this turned out.  If you're still having the problem you might want to consider upgrading to Windows Media Encoder 9 and selecting version 7 for the codec, if needed.

As there is no info anywhere, I ended up have to reinstall the OS & the encoder. I works fine after that.
