I just purchased a high-end laptop from Dell (Inspirion 8600) with a Gig of RAM, 1.7 Ghz processor, and an Nvidia 64M NV34 8600 video card with Windows XP Professional.
Along with that, I bought a Magma bus card holder, an Osprey 220 Card, and the Simulstream. Here's the problem.
Right away, I had problems doing multiple streams. Basically it was hit or miss. Sometimes the system seemed OK for a while, other times, when I went to the 2nd stream, the computer went to a Blue Screen and was unrecoverable. I have to shut down and restart. I have tried reloading all the software, downloading the latest drivers, etc., but nothing seems to help. At one point I had four streams running at once (Real 256k and Real 56k and WM 256k & 56k). The next time, when I started it, when I went to the 2nd Real it crashed. Now it seems to be crashing more frequently. I tried defragging the drive after each webcast, but that doesn't help.
Does anyone know what's going on or did I just through money away on the Simulstream?
