Mr. DEAN joined the company in June, 2000. Mr. Dean has extensive experience in developing and marketing products in related industries. Mr. Dean comes to Viewcast from Vela L.P., where he was Vice President of Strategic Marketing. Vela L.P. is a leading developer and marketer of MPEG-2 digital audio/visual compression solutions for broadcast, broadband, cable TV, video distribution and video networking markets. Prior to that, Mr. Dean was a Senior Project Manager for Optibase, Inc., an Israel-based company that develops and markets MPEG audio/video compression solutions for multimedia, broadcast, video networking and broadband applications. He has also held similar positions at Arts & Letters Corp.; STB Systems; ACS International, Inc.; and United Technologies Mostek.

Mr. Dean is a graduate of Purdue University. BS Electrical Engineering
