Recently, ViewCast.com announced support for Microsoft's new Windows Media Technologies 4.0, enabling high-quality Internet streaming. Microsoft Windows Media Technologies 4.0 consists of the Windows Media Player, Windows Media Services and Windows Media Tools.

ViewCast.com's Osprey® -100 video capture card, which will be given away as prizes during the Microsoft media theater presentations, is ideally suited for the new 4.0 version of the Windows Media Encoder, delivering up to 30 frames per second of high-quality video for the most demanding video streaming applications.

ViewCast.com is demonstrating for the first time an integrated video logging solution based around the Virage VideoLogger and the ViewCast system. The Virage VideoLogger watches, listens to and reads video in real time to intelligently extract information such as keyframes, time codes, text and an audio profile. With availability expected in the second quarter, 1999, the ViewCast Logging Station will offer organizations and broadcasters a complete solution for the creation, encoding, streaming and now searching of video content.
