Mark Fears Brings Professional Video and Subsystem Expertise to ViewCast.com Marketing Efforts
DALLAS (September 11, 2000) � Mark Fears has been named Director of Marketing Communications at ViewCast.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: VCST), a leading provider of Internet and networked-video solutions.

Fears comes to ViewCast.com from Vela Research LP, in Clearwater, Fla., where he was vice president and general manager for European operations. Fear�s responsibilities in this position included strategic business alliances, establishing product feature requirements, OEM account management and sales channel management throughout Europe and Middle East. Fears also held positions at Vela as director of European sales and marketing manager. Prior to joining Vela in 1997, Fears was a product manager for San Jose, Calif.-based Optibase, Inc., where he championed the company�s product line for corporate Internet and Intranet applications for digital video. Fears also served as North American marketing manager for the company. In addition, Fears worked as a marketing manager for Microdynamics, Inc., in Dallas in 1991.
