Collaboration Brings New Dimension to Investment Trading Multi-screen Desktops

Dealing with Video delivers drag-and-drop capabilities across up to four screens

DALLAS (June 5, 2000) ViewCast.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: VCST), a leading provider of Internet and networked video solutions, and U.K. computer board manufacturer Datapath have collaborated to introduce a video system designed to address the financial marketplace on a global scale.

The system, "Dealing with Video," is able to move/swap multiple broadcast quality video images of business news and full interactive video communication delivered from one personal computer across four monitors or flat panel displays. This is done with minimal loading on the machines processor or on network backbone bandwidth. A simple click of the mouse followed by dragging and dropping of any one of up-to-four selected images, brings a whole new interactive dynamic to the investment trading market.

The trading community will benefit from this extension of the ViewCast.com enterprise video networking platform in many ways, including:

"By combining the strengths of our respective technologies, we have produced a quality product that promises to enhance the trading floor. Never before has the ability to drag-and-drop views across multiple screens been available to this, or any other, market," said Peter Taylor, managing director/Europe for ViewCast.com. "We believe that this product is ideally suited to the dealing room environment where information feeds are critical to business. It will play a similar and integral role in other markets, such as the command and control industry

Steve Mikos from Datapath added, "The combination of the Horizon, probably the fastest multi-head card on the market, with the market-leading Viewpoint VBXTM , makes "Dealing with Video" the most powerful video desktop product available to the trading community. Furthermore, the system is easy to install and is delivered with the highest level of reliability and support, to ensure maximum availability of the service."

"Dealing with Video" is the first program of its kind and it offers much improved functionality to the financial marketplace currently being used by many of the largest investment banks worldwide.
