DALLAS (May 25, 2000) � Brian S. Dean has been named Vice President of Marketing at ViewCast.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: VCST), a leading provider of Internet- and networked-video solutions, effective June 5.

In this position, Mr. Dean will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans for ViewCast.com�s current product lines and services, including Viewpoint VBX and ViewCast encoding systems, Osprey Video capture cards, and Your Video on the Web, ViewCast.com�s streaming video solution for consumers and small businesses. Mr. Dean will also assist in the development of marketing plans for new products and services currently under development at ViewCast.com.

Mr. Dean has extensive experience in developing and marketing products in related industries. Dean comes to ViewCast.com from Vela L.P., where he was Vice President of Strategic Marketing. Vela L.P. is a leading developer and marketer of MPEG-2 digital audio/visual compression solutions for broadcast, broadband, cable TV, video distribution and video networking markets. Prior to that, Mr. Dean was a Senior Project Manager for Optibase, Inc., an Israel-based company that develops and markets MPEG audio/video compression solutions for multimedia, broadcast, video networking and broadband applications. In addition, Mr. Dean has held similar positions at Arts & Letters Corp.; STB Systems; ACS International, Inc.; and United Technologies Mostek.
