(Nasdaq:VCST), a leading provider of Internet and networked video solutions, today announced that it had concluded an OEM agreement with Minerva Networks, Inc. whereby Viewcast will integrate the Minerva Video Network Platform (VNP�) MPEG-2 CODEC as part of its Viewpoint VBX� video communication system. The agreement enables Viewcast to support the growing demand for carrier-quality video conferencing and immediately addresses a strategic selling opportunity.

The Viewpoint VBX System provides a flexible video PBX architecture that video-enables hundreds of desktops throughout an enterprise. A single Viewpoint VBX System in your switch room controls video connections anywhere in your building or campus. With the Viewpoint VBX� Codec Array, users from remote sites can use the system as easily as the local staff. Virtually every telephony and networking protocol is supported through the codec array. Utilizing the Viewpoint VBX integrated conference bridging facility enables meetings to be distributed to multiple parties simultaneously by integrating multiple video communication standards, including communications standards H.323, H.320, H.324 and/or compression standard MPEG.

The Viewpoint VBX also offers very high-quality video distribution for applications in enterprise television distribution, videoconferencing and corporate security.
