DALLAS, Texas, October 28, 1999 �ViewCast.com (NASDAQ:VCST) today announced a new addition to its ViewCast Streaming Video product line that enables higher-quality video to be streamed over the Internet more reliably and at less cost. The product is the first offering in a technology and marketing partnership between ViewCast.com and Ezenia! (NASDAQ:VSVR).

Multiple Streams and Live Feeds

The new product integrates Ezenia!�s StreamSpan� technology, which enables Internet streaming video from remote sites using dial-up ISDN connections, with ViewCast Encoding Stations, the leading turnkey solutions for adding streaming video to the Internet and corporate networks. The new solution allows reporters, salespeople, analysts, executives and others to use dial-up ISDN lines to stream high-quality Internet video, rather than expensive and inflexible high-speed connections such as T1 lines or temporary satellite hookups.

Multiple streams � carrying high-, medium-, and low-bit-rate video, for example � can be handled over the same ISDN line. This will enable Internet video broadcasts accessible at different quality levels by different audiences, from those with high-speed connections to those using laptop modems. The new ViewCast systems will also make it practical to do live broadcasting over the Internet or company intranets. This will open up Internet streaming video for a broader audience and lead to its increased use for real-time product launches, quarterly sales results, analysts� updates, executive announcements, board meetings, trade show and special event broadcasts, and other applications.

The agreement, details of which were not announced, will extend to future technology, marketing, sales and distribution initiatives.
