MultiMedia Access Corporation Q2 1998 Results to Meet or Exceed Expectations

Dallas, Texas – July 2, 1998 – MultiMedia Access Corporation (NASDAQ:MMAC), a leader in enterprise video communication systems, today announced that it expects to report revenues and earnings that meet or exceed analysts' expectations for the quarter ended June 30, 1998. The Company expects to report its actual second quarter earnings on Tuesday, July 27, 1998.

MMAC remains optimistic regarding the growth potential of the video communications market despite negative news announced earlier today by Objective Communications (NASDAQ:OCOM) another company in the video communications industry. MMAC has been successfully shipping its Video PBX product line for 15 months, and is well positioned to continue that success in the rapidly growing video communications marketplace due to its advanced systems and video solutions. MMAC has signed contracts with 50 resellers worldwide and has strategic alliances with a number of major corporations in the video and communications marketplace.
